A can't-believe-it's-just-five-dollars double header at Sky City. The Modern Skirts are back in town with fond (we're sure) memories of a European fall tour that included opening for fellow Athens band R.E.M. Their sophomore album, "All Of Us In Our Night", drops nationally in January, but you can get a copy now at the show. And then there's Chapel Hill's The Old Ceremony, sailing its own melodic, piano-driven rock waters but in a darker and louder place, with the brooding flair of The National or Neil Hannon.
